Zoom has become the default video conferencing app for many in this on-going pandemic. Ever since the WFH started during the Lockdown period of the world, Zoom has become the default video calling and conferencing app not just for working professionals but also for many students who are taking their classes online. Zoom has since its launch always focused on prioritizing functionality over fun and maybe that was one of the reasons that so many people migrated towards the video-calling app but now there is a new update to add a little more fun in the new workplace. Zoom Update 5.2 has been released and has added features like Filters, Lighting settings, Emoji, and more. This new zoom update is clearly focused on making it more than just a video-calling app used for work or studying. It does make sense for Zoom to make itself the default app used for video-calling for everyone.

What is in the Zoom Update 5.2?
The new Zoom update 5.2 has added a ton of new features. On the blogpost of Zoom, it said that now users will be able to add filters like the ones you see on Snapchat or Instagram. Filters that are available include a pirate eye patch or bunny ears. The filter will be applied to the user's face like on other social networking apps. There are background color filters that will add a touch of hue on the user's background. Something similar to what users are already familiar with on their smartphone cameras. The color filters play with the color correction in the video feed of the user to make the video look just a little different. Probably the most useful addition in zoom update 5.2 is the video settings options that are now available. Now users can go to video settings in the Zoom app and skin touch-up or as many other apps call it, the "beauty mode". This will smooth out all the wrinkles and add skin smoothing effects to the video feed. There is now an option for low-light adjustment as well. Another new feature in this zoom update 5.2 is the addition of noise suppression that will cancel out the background or ambient noise. Users will be able to adjust the level of noise cancellation they want from the settings. Users will also be able to add reactions via emojis in the video meeting too.
