Xiaomi India has finally announced and officially launched the MIUI 12 in the country. For those who may not know, MIUI is Xiaomi's own UI that it applies on top of android. Like most smartphone manufacturers, Xiaomi has its own proprietary UI it uses in both MI smartphones and Redmi smartphones. In India, Xiaomi is one of the biggest smartphone companies and the launch of MIUI 12 for Indian consumers was a top priority for the company. In the live event, the MIUI 12 was revealed and it looks like Xiaomi has completely revamped the UI to make the user experience more consistent across the interface. The entire has been changed and many new features have been added to make multi-tasking and transitioning between the apps seamless. Needless to say, it looks like Xiaomi has taken a leaf out of Apple's playbook and that is actually a good thing.

MIUI 12 New Features and Updates for India:
The launch of MIUI 12 comes at a critical juncture for Xiaomi in India. The company has been criticized by many for its handling of user's data and the Indian government has even banned some Xiaomi apps in India including the default Mi Browser. So it was on everyone's mind how the launch of MIUI 12 will handle that criticism. They handled it perfectly. The new MIUI 12 in India will focus on privacy the most. Now the users will be able to decide what type of data they want to share with Xiaomi or if they want to share any data at all. The animations have been reworked completely and now there are different animations for the notification shade and floating notifications as well. Maybe the highlight of UI 12 is the reworked animation. Another feature that was focused on was the super wallpaper for MIUI 12. Xiaomi together with NASA has designed these super wallpapers that will let users experience the terrain of Mars on their smartphone wallpapers. Oneplus did something similar on its devices but the implementation of it on MIUI 12 seems more complete. There is a dedicated app drawer for those who want it. Casting is now more seamless and a privacy mode has been added to make casting more seamless. To know all that is being added to the new UI check out the youtube video below.
