Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has confirmed to launch its third gaming smartphone in India soon.
In a recent post on Chinese microblogging website Weibo, Xiaomi’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas mentioned that he recently saw the new Black Shark smartphone in action and claimed it to be a fast performing smartphone. Xiaomi has also asked fans to come up with new ideas and suggestions for the upcoming device.
Earlier, Xiaomi has introduced two gaming smartphones, Black Shark and Black Shark Helo in April and October, 2018, respectively.
Xiaomi Black Shark will come with a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU and will come in two different RAM and storage variants, viz. 6GB and 8GB RAM models.
The Black Shark Helo gaming phone features a 6.01-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by a 2.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with Adreno 630 GPU.
Now, Xiaomi has confirmed that a third Black Shark device is on the way. The new device expected to be launched in April this year. According to a report by CyberMedia Research, gaming smartphones could possibly reach 6.5 per cent of the total smartphone market by 2021.
The report also indicates a significant spike in mobile gaming users with expectations that they will cross 748 million by 2021.
With the growing popularity of advanced mobile games such as PUBG and Fortnite, consumers now have a lot of options like, Razer Phone, Razer Phone 2, Nubia Red Magic Mars, ASUS ROG Phone, when it comes to gaming phones.
