If you are a new blogger and wondering why your posts are not crawled or indexed by Google Search engine bots then you have to first understand, how it works. First of all, Google does not give any type of guarantee that they will index your website content.
The crawling of new website content is done by a Google’s sophisticated algorithm which has certain boundaries. It depends on the certain amount of resources to crawl, Index, and Rank your sites. So, here we are going to understand search engine bots crawling and indexing.
What is Crawling?
The crawling is basically a process in which a special type of algorithm is used to index the updated data of your website. The Google spider; the name of the Google’s crawler which crawls your site data, when you post something on your site. It can happen instantly or maybe not because it is based on a lot of factors.
The crawler considers some factors such as Page Rank, Back Links, the popularity of your website etc before crawling. You can generate sitemaps for the faster crawling. But Google will not crawl anything you put in your sitemap. Sitemap will just let the Google know about your site contents. So, for crawling your content, please submit your website in Google webmaster tool.
What is indexing?
Once your content is crawled, it may index by the Google. But wait, it is not easy as it sees before indexing anything Google want to ensure that your content is unique and worthy. If Google not indexing your content then there might be several reasons such internal or external duplication and weak content. So, do write something worthy.
The time Google take to index your content may vary. It depends on how strong your interlinking, backlinks, and frequency of content update on your website. For any new website, it may take a week or even month. If you have old blog or website and still facing indexing issue then make sure you don not have internal or external duplication of contents.
One more thing, we want to say that Google is not going to crawl and index your website until and unless you are going to submit your website in the Google webmaster tool. So to know how to submit your website to the Google webmaster for crawling, please click here.
