HMD Global, the brand that sells Nokia phones, has announced the availability of WhatsApp on Nokia 8110, which also goes by the name of banana phone. Users in India are among the first batch of users globally to enjoy WhatsApp services on the Nokia 8110.
The smartphone is powered by KaiOS and comes equipped with the Store, which is home to KaiOS-powered apps and services to further amplify user experience. The smartphone also comes with a suite of pre-loaded Google applications such as the Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Search as well as popular apps like Facebook. The smartphone supports mail services such as Outlook and Gmail, allowing users to compose and receive emails, import contacts and sync their calendar.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm 205 mobile platform, supports 4G VoLTE calling and also has wireless Hotspot feature.
Available in traditional black and banana yellow colours, the Nokia 8110 is available across all the leading mobile retailers in India, and online on Nokia.com/phones, Amazon.in and Flipkart, at a price of Rs 4,999.
