Vodafone M-pesa Offers Cash Withdrawal from Wallet, Respite Customers of ATM Pain

Vodafone M-pesa has empowered users to use digital wallet service for cash withdrawal at any of over 1,20,000 Vodafone M-Pesa outlets pan-India.

Vodafone M-pesa Offers Cash Withdrawal from Wallet, Respite Customers of ATM Pain

Vodafone India released information on a cash withdrawal facility which will allow its more than 8.4 million Vodafone M-Pesa customers to withdraw cash using their digital wallet from any of the over 120,000 Vodafone M-Pesa outlets across the country, *subject to availability*.

While making this announcement, Suresh Sethi, Business Head, VodafoneM-Pesa, said: “Vodafone M-Pesa customers do not need to stand in long queues outside ATMs and bank branches for cash. We have invested in building a nationwide network of over 120,000 M-Pesa outlets, equivalent to the numbers of bank branches in the country. Over 56% of these outlets are located in the rural India, enabling last mile disbursement in the hinterland. Our customers can visit any of these outlets and use the unique cash out feature of Vodafone M-Pesa to withdraw cash from their digital wallet at their convenience.”

To avail the cash withdrawal facility, customers need to carry an identity proof to their nearest Vodafone M-Pesa outlet from where they can withdraw money, subject to availability, in line with RBI guidelines.

To start using Vodafone M-Pesa, customers must download the Vodafone M-Pesa App. The App welcomes all M-Pesa users (both Vodafone and non-Vodafone customers) and prompts existing users to Login and new users to register for M-Pesa.

With the ‘M-Pesa App’, consumers can recharge their mobile & DTH, pay their Post-paid, Electricity, Gas and Landline bills from their mobile. The customers can load their wallets using, debit cards, credit cards and net banking free of cost.
