The Xiaomi 13 Pro was released in India only last month and is the company's most significant effort to compete with the likes of Samsung and even Apple regarding photography capabilities. We will walk you through five photography features of the Xiaomi 13 Pro that make this phone enjoyable to use. But first, let's go over the camera specs.
- The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera that uses Sony's IMX989 1-inch sensor. This 50-megapixel telephoto shooter can also capture macro shots and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a 115-degree field of view. The Xiaomi 13 Pro phone has a 32-megapixel face camera on the front.
What can you do with them? Let's take a peek
Dolby Vision 4K
- Xiaomi focused not only on still photos but also on video capture with the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The new Xiaomi top phone can record 4K 60fps Dolby Vision movies. It is one of the few phones on the market that does so, and the outcomes are more than satisfactory. The Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone also has a feature dubbed 4K Ultra Night Video, which allows you to capture excellent videos in low-light situations.
Leica watermark
- Many photos taken with the Xiaomi 13 Pro and shared on social media platforms bear a unique Leica watermark, an exciting feature. This one has no bearing on the quality of your photos or what you can achieve with your camera setup, but it is nice to have. This can be turned on in the camera settings. Unlike the usual watermark, which generally displays the name of the phone from which the picture was snapped, the Leica watermark also includes essential information like ISO, aperture, and even the locations where the picture was taken. The photo software can subsequently change the watermark to a different design. It only works with photos from the back camera, not selfies.
Leica Modes
- The two LUTs within the camera app - Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant - are one of the most intriguing aspects of the Xiaomi 13 Pro and the first move in collaboration with Leica. The titles are self-explanatory. The Leica bright setting produces pictures that are more bright and punchy.
- On the other hand, Leica Authentic is for more realistic tones and adds a vignette to the pictures. It also distinguishes the images captured with the Xiaomi 13 Pro from others.
Master Lens System
- On the Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi has included a Master Lens System with four distinct Portrait mode choices. These are:-
- 35mm Black and White
- 50mm Swirly Bokeh
- 75mm Portrait
- 90mm Soft Focus mode
- Depending on how far you click or the type of impact you want in your pictures, you can use these options. They can be challenging to get used to at first, but once I did, I could take many excellent photos in these modes. There is also a standard portrait mode that takes pictures at 3.2x by default, but a full-body option allows you to switch to 1x.
Clone Mode
This is not a function exclusive to the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The clone option has been available on Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones for some time. It's always been fun, but the big and high-resolution sensors on the Xiaomi 13 Pro make it even better. The function is accessible via the camera app's 'More' menu. Simply obtain it and begin making fantastic clone images.
It's thrilling to consider that the Xiaomi 13 Pro is only the first Xiaomi premium phone in India to feature Leica Magic, and things can only get better from here. Of course, none of this is inexpensive. The phone costs Rs 79,999 for the single version but is available with a Rs 10,000 bank deal.
