Highlights:
- Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 will go live on October 13th on NA realms and October 14th on EU realms.
- This expansion pre-patch marks the first step towards the Shadowlands launch, which was delayed to later this year.
- The Pre-Patch will contain the first-ever Level Squish and Timewalking leveling experience with Chromie Time, in addition to another Item Level Squish.
- There are also many class and spec changes and new Character Customization options that can be used at the Barber Shop.
As with every Pre-Patch, many class changes have been implemented to give players a preview of what is to come with Shadowlands officially launches later this year. For the Shadowlands Pre-Patch this includes an overall Level Squish bringing the max-level down to Level 50 in the Pre-Patch, in addition to reducing health, mana and damage numbers. For classes, the Corruption system has been removed, many old abilities have returned, burst cooldowns were taken off the GCD, Blizzard implemented new target caps for class abilities and a 5 minute cooldown on Combat and Health Potions.

Later in the Pre-patch, players will be able to participate in the Scourge Event which includes a new 2 week questline preparing you for the Shadowlands story, zombie invasions in capital cities, familiar bosses in Icecrown and the return of Nathanos Blightcaller.
Leveling has received a major overhaul in the Shadowlands Pre-Patch, through the Timewalking leveling experience in Chromie Time. While leveling, new Relic of the Past items can be used to upgrade the item level of any old item created by a Crafting Profession!
Patch 9.0.1 also contains many updates to cosmetics including many new Character Customization options which can all be applied at the updated Barber Shop and the removal of the Exalted requirement to unlock Allied Races. At the Barber Shop, you can now also change your Character's Gender and Druids can individually select which skin they want to use for each of their forms, including Artifact forms! Artifact Weapons are now class-wide and can be transmogged across all specs following regular transmog rules.
