Samsung has upgraded two of its existing smartphones - Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime with better internal storage. The two handsets are now available with 32GB onboard storage and can be purchased from Samsung's own website..
A tweet by the company regarding the launch reads, "Get more space than before! #GalaxyJ7J5Prime now come in a 32GB variant for more room for your favourites. Buy now!"
It is worth mentioning that the two smartphones were launched in India back in September last year with 16GB internal storage. The new Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime are priced at Rs 16,900 and Rs 14,900 respectively.
Besides increased internal storage, all other specifications of the two smartphones remains the same as their predecessors.
In terms of specifications, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime features a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution secured with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Powering the device is a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. There is a support for microSD cards up to 256GB in size.The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
Boasting a fingerprint sensor, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime packs a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, along with an 8MP front-facing snapper for selfies. It is backed by 3,300mAh battery and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG as connectivity options.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime features a 5-inch HD display of 720x1280 pixel resolution. It's powered by a quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Other specifications include dual-SIM support, fingerprint and 2,400mAh battery.
The company's latest smartphones to be launched in India are the flagship Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, available at Rs 57,900 (MOP) and Rs 64,900 (MOP) respectively.
