Samsung Galaxy M31s May Change the Game in the Mid Range Segment in India

As tensions between India and China are rising the Indian public has been boycotting Chinese goods. The most prominent goods that Indians are boycotting are the Chinese smartphone. Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and many others have enjoyed the mid-range segment pie both online and offline. Now it seems that the table has turned and the public has been boycotting China-made smartphones with a vengeance. Go to any twitter post of any Chinese smartphone maker and you will see tweets saying “Boycott China” everywhere. Recently, the Indian government also banned Chinese apps like Tiktok in the country. 

Non-Chinese smartphone makers like Samsung have been lagging behind in India. Their mid-range segment sales were being overshadowed by other Chinese brands. Now it seems like that is going to change finally. Enter the Samsung Galaxy M31s. This is a new mid-range smartphone that Samsung is going to launch in India and it has some seriously good specifications. The smartphone is set to launch on July 31st in India.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy M31s:

The Samsung Galaxy M31s is powered by Exynos 9611 processor which is based on the 10nm architecture. Exynos is a Samsung processor and the GPU is the Mali G72. The screen is going to have an AMOLED display and is 6.5 inches in size. There is support for dual-sim cards. There are two variants of the device. One comes with 128GB of storage and 6GB of Ram and the other comes with 8GB of Ram. There is no support for expandability via MicroSD cards. At the back of the Samsung Galaxy M31s, there is a quad-camera setup. The primary camera is a 64MP shooter. The secondary camera is a 12MP ultrawide lens. The third camera is a 5MP macro shooter. The fourth camera is a 5MP depth sensor. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back of the smartphone. At the front, there is a 32MP camera in the punch hole of the display. The Samsung Galaxy M31s also comes with a headphone jack which is a great addition. It also supports dual-band wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC (Region specific), and a type-c USB port for charging. The best part of Samsung Galaxy M31s is the massive 6000mAh battery. Out of the box, the Samsung Galaxy M31s will run on Android 10 with Samsung’s ONE UI on top.
