For the budget conscious customers, Xolo brings Era 1X Pro smartphone. Even having the budget price, Xolo tried to add more features to attract selfie enthusiasts by adding 5 MP camera with Dual-LED flash. But what about other capabilities and picture quality! Let’s find out…
Build and design
Not so unique, but the decent design and solid build quality. The phone has a neat design and rectangular symmetry with chamfered edges. It looks decent with the solid plastic body. On the front, the 5-inch screen sits inside prominent bezels, while the removable back cover offers great grip.
Below the screen, you can see three touch buttons, a physical power button on the right, with a volume rocker on top of it. The charging port and an aux input have been provided at the top edge of the phone.
The phone hosts a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution which is decent enough to deliver a smooth experience while playing games or watching videos. Having the good brightness levels, it lets you enjoy the screen even in direct sunlight without any trouble.
Performance
Packed with a 1.3 GHz quad-core SC 9832A processor, and 2 GB RAM, the smartphone runs quite fast while operating above basic apps. However, under heavy operation, it does slow down and you can see performance lag. Consider the price, this phone is made for budget oriented people, thus I can expect this performance.
Camera quality
The phone has 8 MP camera sensor at the rear and 5 MP at front with Dual-LED flash. The camera is capable of clicking decent quality images in ambient light, but in low light conditions, it produces noise. The primary camera lack detailing and sharpness and images are not clear enough for a professional use.
The front snapper clicks reasonably good selfies, that you can further enhance by the makeup filter provided on the phone.
Battery
The Era 1X Pro is powered by a 2,500 mAh removable battery that can stay with you for 8 to 10 hours with moderate usage. In our video loop test, it lasted for about 6 hours and 37 minutes playing video over YouTube with full brightness and volume.
