With four times the normal HD resolution alongwith intelligent features, the TV is bound to deliver mesmerizing viewing experience
The concave screen befits human eyes creating a wider area for viewing just like cinematic experience. Since the TV is equipped with Edge-Lit LEDs, which are placed at sides of the screen with their light diffused towards the screen to create different colors, as compared to backlit LED that are placed behind the screen. This arrangement eliminates the need of a separate LED layer in design, thus making the TV thinner and makes for a beautiful screen panel that sits comfortably in your living room.
The bezel running around the panel is slimmer and has just the right form of curvature for optimal viewing experience. The TV is powered by Quad-Core Graphics Engine to deliver fast action scenes smoothly along with increased color accuracy in 4K resolution. It also has WebStorage which allows the TV to sync with the cloud and enjoy the content whenever you want to.
It is equipped with 1:1 pixel mapping that allows for consumers to connect any device as input source to TV and will automatically adjust to native resolution of the gadget. Three speakers are housed at both sides of screen panel that deliver an audio output of 30 watts. The remote control is easy to use and also features Air Mouse function to control it by the wrist.
Good picture quality
When we ran SD, HD and full HD content, the Vu 4K TV delivered good image clarity. The color reproduction was good. The Edge-lit panel may make the panel slimmer but uniformity of color suffers. For example when we pushed a white image on the screen it looked brighter at outer edges then at the center.
Similarly when we put up a black image the outer edges looked a bit grayed, thus black levels are light at the sides. When we pushed 4K content supplied by VU there was notable difference in picture quality and color formation. Blacks were more blacks and whites were great. Overall it excelled in almost all color levels and with the use of Achromatic technology it enhances color depth.
Additionally a full color optimizer analyzes and automatically adjusts brightness, contrast ratio, color temperature delivering images more lifelike thereby truly enhancing your viewing experience. There were no color shifts when viewing from the sides and colors did not looked washed out at all in 4K. However when viewing Full HD content we noticed washing out of colors and less clean images
The upscaler coupled with 1:1 pixel processor avoids loss of sharpness in colors and image fidelity due to scaling artifacts and also avoids formation of incorrect aspect ratio due to stretching. When we ran 3D content on the TV we were not impressed by 3D rendition. 3D content looked decent but was not lifelike. 2D to 3D conversion was also not perfect.
The audio output is excellent and the Vu 4K TV can also play bass content without any issues. At fuller volumes the sound gets louder and booming delivering elevated experience in action scenes, sports etc. and eliminating the need for having a separate sound system complementing the TV.
