TP-Link Archer Performance
We tested the modem and Wi-Fi router functionality and the signal performance by using an isolated ‘N’ network with the router connected to two machines, one wirelessly and the other with cable. Apart from these two machines, we have also used it with smartphones. This router was connected with 10Mbps line and we played a few online games and didn’t face any lag.AT 5Ghz band. It gives us a range of roughly 12 meters along obstacles. To check it through, we used the ‘Qcheck 3.0′ benchmark, we checked average throughput with a 1000 KB payload. In this test, it clocked at the speed of 72 MBPS. We transferred 61 MB of data from one machine to the other and here too, it took 12 seconds. It performed well in every test, except the file transfer speed test. Using Wi-Fi Network Analyzer, we tested the wireless speed of the router and it resulted in 86 MBPS of speed and -42 dBm of signal strength.
The Archer is very user-friendly and works at optimum speed for which it is designed. Its easy installation makes it more attractive than its competitors in the market.
