A well designed slim smartphone with impressive camera, but poor battery backup
The budget smartphone, Swipe Konnect 5.0, has a unique design. It gets the curved corners and slim edges that look pretty cool. It comes with a bright 5-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 540 by 960 and presents rich colors with good viewing angles. Speakers are clear but not loud enough. Konnect 5.0 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean that can be upgraded. It has stock UI with little customizations, but you can get a completely different UI experience with preloaded ‘Next Launcher 3D Lite’. It boasts 1.3 GHz quad core processor and is backed with 1 GB RAM that makes it a surprisingly seamless performer. I didn’t see any lag while multitasking and playing games.
The phone comes with dual SIM support and using both SIMs was a decent experience. There was no call drop and call quality was pretty decent. It has 8 GB of internal memory in which 4.5 GB is available to the user. It also supports microSD card up to 32 GB. The 8 MP rear camera comes with LED flash, which lets you click quality daylight images. Even in low light, it produces decent images with a little noise. You can record videos at 1080p using rear camera. The front 3.2 MP camera is quite cool for selfie and video chats.
The Konnect 5.0 has a 1950 mAh polymer ion battery, which is disappointing. In one full charge it can last only for 5 to 6 hours. In our battery test it lasted only for 2 hours and 25 minutes, while playing video using Wi-Fi.
