Sound One SP-6 Review

Sound One, a Hong Kong-based company and pioneer in portable audio devices providing solutions to professional audio and wireless communication launches Sound One SP-6 Sports Hi-Fi Stereo Bluetooth earphones in India. Sound One SP-6 has a unique neckband design for sports, ultra-light in weight for wearing more comfortable and a high-quality sound and enhanced BASS effect for clear talk and good music.

The Sound One SP-6 comes in a good designed premium plastic box which slides to reveal the headphones. As soon as it came out of the box the first impression it gave us was a sporty and impressive look. It's skewed angles and a two toned color give an attractive look to the headphones. Although the entire headset is made of plastic but not look cheap and also its good use plastic as it gives light weight to the headphones. The wire is a flat tangle free one which connects both earpieces.

The SP-6 is rated IPX Level 4 sweat resistant optimized for ultimate wearing comfort to match your active lifestyle like running, jogging, cycling, driving, camping, hiking gym exercise and other outdoor sports. The things come with the headphones are charging cable and couple of silicone ear tips. The silicon rubber was soft and doesn't hurt the ears once you use the right size ear buds for your ears.  The ear hooks are of a standard one size fits all and feels soft and hooks.

With the ear hooks, you will also never worry about the earphone falling off in a gym or workout again.  The earphones are compatible with most cell phones, iPhone and Android. High-fidelity stereo sound quality and clear calls with aptx codec. The built-in microphone, perfect Hi-Fi Stereo Sound Quality in noise cancellation, makes it possible to allow a clear call. When you hang up, audio starts back up automatically.

Performance

To review the audio performance of SP6 we played various genres of tracks, and we did not find any weakness anywhere. On tracks with intense sub-bass content like “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, the SP6 delivered bass beats vigorously complementing the pace of the lyrics and will surely captivate you. The SP6 remains distortion free even at top volume levels. Drums, piano, whimsical handclaps all sounded pleasant making this melody truly entertaining to listen with SP6.

If your music library includes hip hop, electronica and demanding bass, this is going to be the headphone for you. On classical tracks and on Opera it sounded rich, fuller and balanced.  Also on Bill Callahan’s “Drover” vocals sounded rich in the mid-lows with higher frequencies maintaining a bright presence throughout and with ample balance.

Sound One SP6 is available on Amazon for Rs. 1,999 and we don't think so any other Bluetooth headphone at this price will provide better quality than this one.
