Portronics SeeSaw Review

You are going to office leaving your parents or children behind and worrying about them. This situation is becoming common with most of the people. Seems only one solution to such problems, surveillance camera, and for this no need to buy entire surveillance setup, CCTV camera, DVR, etc. Wireless cameras like Portronics SeeSaw could be an easy solution. Previously, I reviewed ANG QTW918-DP which was also a wireless camera that can be operated using a smartphone. So, today I gonna tell you about the new Portronics SeeSaw, again a wireless surveillance camera.

The HD Camera has a two-way audio capability to interact with the person on the other end. One can easily install it in a room or hall, simply plug microUSB cable to it for power and add microSD card up to 64 GB to store the video footage. Install U-Cam app from the Play Store and you are ready to connect the camera to your wireless network. Just follow the simple steps in the app and you will be done within few minutes.

SeeSaw is a 1-MP camera comes with 720p HD advanced CMOS sensor and can record video at 30 FPS. It uses MPEG (Motion JPEG) and H.264 compression. It shows color video in good light conditions and black & white in the dark ambient light conditions. It is equipped with a mic and a mini half-watt speaker enabling remote two-way audio communication using SIP/VoIP with your connected smart device.

Performance:
The camera is efficient to recognize the face, it is capable of capturing decent quality video even in low light conditions. One can easily setup the device and access the video footage directly from the smartphone being anywhere. Being a surveillance camera it does pretty well, but as it also comes with mic and speaker to interact with the person on the other end, it is a disaster. The tiny speaker is not clear whether you whisper or scream the next person won't be able to easily recognize your voice. Similarly, the mic is average, you need to be loud and clear so that other person can get you.
