When everything is becoming digital then why not your health records. It might be a little bit hectic to visit your doctor with a number of labs reports or prescription slips. And if you get tired of arranging them in orders or living under a fear of misplacing them, then try out the power of your smartphone. Yes, there are numbers of smartphone applications that allow you to handle your reports and health records digitally, MedRecordz is one of them. It gives you an ability to keep a record of your personal medical information in an easy and convenient way.
Get automatic reminders for health checkups, child immunizations and more. You can receive automatically an electronic copy of your lab reports and vision records on your smartphone through this app but right now this feature is available only in Hyderabad, India.
Apps Interface is very clean and straight forward. The first screen which appears after opening the app will give a list of task that the app can do.
Using this app you don’t need to store physical copies of your reports. All your reports will be automatically digitized and stored on the highly secure MedRecordz server AND will be available for you to access for your lifetime. You can also click an image of your reports or upload pdf to the app’s server manually.
To take care of your child this app offers an electronic track record of your child vaccinations and also give you an automatic reminder when the next vaccination is due. The vaccination schedule adheres to the guidelines prescribed by Indian Academy of Pediatrics. The app also provides an automatic service in which a person will receive his eyewear (spectacles) prescription on MedRecordz mobile app when he/she visit optical clinics partnering with MedRecordz.
We have been using this from more than a 2 week and we didn’t find any lag or glitches. The one thing which I like personally is its Blood request feature. In this feature, you can request for blood and also can read the request of another person as well, while using the app we got a request of someone from KIMS hospital for blood.
