The first thing comes to our mind when we here the name KODAK, is the company with camera and film rolls. But that has been gone now, the Kodak is also now in other consumer products such as TVs and speakers. The Kodak TV 68M speaker is the company's first speaker that has been launched in India. It is available on all leading e-commerce stores such as Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm. Luckily, we got a chance to review this speaker. After using it for a month, let's see whether Kodak 68M TV Speaker is worth to buy or not.
Kodak TV speaker Design
Kodak claims that the TV speaker has been designed to suit your active and mobile lifestyle. The speaker has rounded edges at the top and bottom sides and has a compact shape that fits easily into your bag or backpack. The weight of the speaker is 1.5 pounds. The Volume buttons, play and pause, and battery plus Bluetooth LED indicator on the top.
To connect audio sources such as a smartphone, tablets, and laptops using 3.5mm jack it has two Auxiliary inputs at the rear side. It is also worth noting that with the AUX feature, you can link two or more speaker units and get them to work in tandem. The power button is placed between the Auxiliary input and there is also a micro USB port for charging. The speaker also comes with two strap holders to dangle the speaker while waking. All in all, the design looks neat, compact and the speaker feels solid.
Kodak TV Speaker 68M Performance
The Kodak TV speaker 68M is equipped with a powerful 10W speaker and during our review, we used it with a smartphone, laptop and TV. Talking about the performance the speaker audio is actually very loud and clear. The audio is clear without any distortion even at maximum volume. On tracks with intense sub-bass content like Titanium by David Guetta which features dance club style beats, the speaker produced pounding bass but not overpowering bass, and sounded booming and bright making this melody truly pleasurable from starting to end. Sia’s vocals were clearly audible in between the bass of this electric pop song.
We also tested the Kodak TV speaker across various games and were surely impressed by its performance. When we played GTA 4 which is a combination of racing, shooting, gang wars etc everything sounded perfect and will certainly enhance your gameplay experience.
Interestingly, the speaker can get really loud for its size. At high volume, one drawback is jarring sound at higher volumes. But again, this aspect is quite common in most budget-friendly speakers. Koday TV Speaker comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and it delivered approx. 5 hours of playtime on a single charge.
