You always try to keep your eyes on your family, whether child or elderly, you want to keep them safe from potential dangers. KENT CamEye can become your third eye. The HomeCam 360 Wi-Fi camera is fully-equipped with numerous features including 360° Panoramic View and smart AI-based alerts.

Setup and features

The next generation smart Wi-Fi home camera has a small footprint that can be installed on any flat surface. You can also mount it using an optional mounting kit to mount on a wall or ceiling. Beneath, you can find one micro-USB port for power, a MicroSD card slot for video recording up to 128 GB and a mic. At the back, a speaker is placed enabling two-way communication. It supports wireless connectivity Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, simply connect the camera to your home or office Wi-Fi to track all the activities live or when you get some motion alerts.

HomeCam 360 has a 2 MP camera that can record videos in FHD (1080p) resolution at 15 fps. It can rotate 360 degrees horizontally and 60 degrees vertically. It also supports night vision up to 9.15 meters (30 feet).

To set up, plug the camera into a power source, it will rotate and then the light will blink and it will scan the available wi-fi network. You can scan the given QR code printed at the back to install the Kent CamEye app from Google and Apple app store. The App is quite easy to use with a user-friendly interface. Signup on the app, then give it a name and connect to your home/office wi-fi. Once done, you get 15 days of free cloud recording.

Performance

This 360-degree camera packs smart AI-based alerts to help you safeguard your home and family from potential dangers. You can see every corner of your room clearly with a 2 MP 1080p camera even at night. It comes with AI motion detection that alerts you whenever there is any movement in the room. It also rotates automatically to follow a moving person or object. If you want to speak to your children or elderly, then you can do that using its 2-way calling via the app or Alexa device.

It also comes with an automatic privacy mode that lets you disable live streaming and recording basis phone’s geo-location or pre-set time. The intruder alarm is quite useful when your children or elderly are alone, it raises a loud audible alarm on detecting motion or human.

The free subscription ends in 15 days, so to continue to cloud recording KENT would charge you INR 400 for a month. There are different plans that you can choose as per your requirement. If you don’t want to go for a subscription, can record it on your MicroSD card. Using the app you can rotate the camera in different directions. It gives you clear video with wide coverage. You can change the video streaming quality from low (360p), medium (720p) to high (1080p).
