The BT Rock is a member of Intex X series range of bluetooth speakers. Intex tried to give the speaker a retro look but it’s not very impressive. Keeping up with the features of a modern day speaker, it can be easily connected via bluetooth, USB, AUX-in and also has digital FM to tune into your favorite stations. The 2.0 channel speakers are housed in a metallic grill and all the controls - volume, source, FM are on the rubber strip running across the handle of speaker.
Power on/off, USB port, charging port and Aux-in are housed at the back of speaker. When the battery charges, the front LED indicator lights in yellow and once it is fully charged the indicator turns off.
Good sound quality
We tested the speaker with various tracks for its sound capability. On our intense and sub-intense bass content tracks, it sounded decent but lacked depth. The speaker sounded best with uncomplicated tracks at 60-70% volume levels. At fuller volumes, it didn’t get loud but there was no distortion. Vocals sounded bright and clear at almost all volume levels accompanied by rich mids and crisp highs.
The speaker automatically goes into standby mode after 15 minutes if there is no play mode selection. You need to press the source button to resume the function operation. The in-built 1000mAH battery took 4-5 hours to charge and delivers 6 hours of music playback.
