The full view display has become common with most of the devices. Gionee also added the similar screen in its latest offering S11 Lite. The smartphone follows the trending 18:9 screen to body ratio design and dual camera setup. Gionee S11 lite comes at a competitive price, but already the segment is filled with various smartphones, so let's find out will it stand apart!
Gionee S11 lite: Build Quality
At the first sight, it looks attractive, the smartphone has 18:9 aspect ratio and tiny bezels that enable it to fit the 5.7-inch screen.
The body feels solid, and the back has got the glossy finish that adds more beauty, but at the same time works like a magnet to smudges and fingerprints. This beautiful phone can be carried easily in one hand, thanks to the screen to body ratio, which makes it tall but not wide.
Gionee S11 lite: Screen
The phone holds 5.7-inch HD+ IPS display that produces vibrant colors, you can enjoy games and videos on the phone. It has wide viewing angles that lets you share the screen with your friends and family. The brightness levels are good but not enough to have great viewing experience in direct sunlight.
Gionee S11 lite: Camera
At the back, it has dual camera setup 13+2 MP with LED flash. it is capable to capture decent quality shots in daylight conditions. Images come with the good amount of details and balanced color. However, the camera struggles to capture quality images in low light. You can notice noise in the lowlight shots with a little distraction with white balance.
The front 16 MP camera is good for taking selfies and groufies. It comes with various modes including beauty and bokeh mode. You can play with the front camera as it captured decent images but details were missing.
Gionee S11 lite: Performance
The smartphone runs on old Android 7.1 layered with Amigo UI on the top. The UI is pretty much clean but not so user-friendly. For the first-time Gionee user, may some icons come confusing, such as setting app icon. The phone is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8937 octa-core processor, combined with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It runs smoothly with moderate usage, however, sometimes we saw glitches with some of the apps. After adding some heavy games, it was able to manage them and we didn’t see any performance lag while playing any game. However, multitasking revealed its performance issue. We added Asphalt 8, Fifa and Mortal Kombat, we played all the games one-by-one and left them running in the background. The glitches were not so frequent yet visible.
The smartphone is backed by a 3030 mAh battery that can last for the entire day with moderate usage, playing games and surfing the internet.
