Digisol's new ADLS Wi-Fi router DG-BG4300NU is an affordable IPv6 ready router. It has a USB 2.0 port for 3D dongle or USB drive. It lets you share the internet from a USB dongle or you can store/ share data over your network using a USB drive.
Setting-up the device will take only a few minutes. The simple user-interface guide allows you to add and configure ADSL and wireless Internet. The 802.11b/g/n wireless router has 2 wireless antennae supporting 1.5 to 16 dbm, allowing you coverage for longer distance. While testing the router we were able to get the wireless connection for more than 10 meters. However, the signal strength weakens drastically due to obstacles.
The 2.4 GHz single band router provides up to 300 MBPS wireless speed. We tested the signal performance of DG-BG4300NU using an isolated ‘N’ network with the router connected to two machines, one wirelessly and the other with cable. Using the ‘Qcheck 3.0′ benchmark, we checked the average throughput with a 1000 KB payload. In this test we clocked an average speed of 91 MBPS which is better than previous routers, we tested in PCQuest Lab. We transferred 61 MB of data from one machine to the other and here too, the time of 8 seconds is more than the other router we tested. Using Wi-Fi Network Analyzer, we tested the wireless speed of the router and it resulted in 52 mbps of speed and -63 dbm of signal strength.
