The Dell P51f is another budget laptop with a bulky design. With the classic and basic design, it is equipped with almost every required port and even the optical drive. Having the large 15.6-inch display, it combines the i3 processor to handle various tasks easily.
Look and Build: The Entire body of Dell P51f is made out of durable plastic which gets the mirror finish on the top. The glossy body looks good but works like a magnet to fingerprints and smudges as well as scratches. The keyboard panel has a non-glossy matte finish, which doesn't attract smudges and scratches.
It hosts full-sized, spill-resistant keyboard and precious touchpad. Both keyboard and touchpad work smooth. The keyboard offers comfortable typing experience while touchpad responded well to each command.
LED Display and HD webcam: Dell P51f has 15.6-inch LED Backlit Display with Truelife and HD resolution (1366x768). This screen produces vibrant and real-life colors with great brightness levels. With wide viewing angles, this enables you to share the screen with friends and family. On the top of the screen, an HD (720p) Webcam is placed which is good for video chats.
The laptop is equipped with various ports including DVD Drive, HDMI, one USB 3.0 & two USB 2.0, Kensington lock slot, Media Card (SD, SDHC, SDXC) and 10/100 RJ-45 Ethernet network.
Performance: With the combination of the i3 processor and 2 GB RAM, Dell P51f is able to handle various tasks smoothly. It comes preloaded with Windows 8.1 that can be upgraded to the latest Windows 10 for free. While testing this laptop, we used it for more than a week and run various applications including MS-office. While using Mozilla and Chrome with 4 tabs in each, but we didn't see any performance lag.
This is equipped with a 4 cell battery that can last for more than 7 hours with moderate usage (net surfing, MS-Office, etc.). while using the BatteryMark it resulted with 3 hours 09 min battery backup, overfull brightness.
