Despite being dominated by portable and mobile devices, one appliance which has secured itself from being replaced by a gizmo is our beloved idiot box. However, it has really tightened its belt –gotten leaner and smarter.
Clouded under the gamut of features, we often ignore the model aspect of a TV – its display quality for the price – and this is what Daiwa has prioritized with its new 40 inch LED television. The Daiwa 40 inch Full HD LED TV hosts a Full HD resolution, something which most other brands in the price bracket shy away from. It comes with plastic feet and the build can be justified considering the price.
A Bay of Ports:
The Daiwa TV offers an array of ways you can connect wired devices to the TV. It features three HDMI ports, two USB ports and a 3.5 mm jacks for Audio in and out, besides VGA for PC connectivity. The Daiwa 40 inch Full HD LED TV comes with peculiar features like Bluetooth. It connects easily and can be used to play audio via connected devices. You cannot, however, connect external speakers such as Xander Bluetooth 5.1 using Bluetooth – restricting you to use more wires.
Warm Display, Ideal for Distance Viewing:
The hues on this 40 inch Full HD LED TV are inclined towards warm tones, but the aptly bright LED panel doesn’t let give a yellow tint to white portions of the image. Viewed from at least 3 feet away, the display quality is pleasing and this is ideal for a wall-mounted positioning. But as you inch nearer, the display tends to appear grainy and small objects appear distorted. This is relatively richer than most HD only TV sets in the price range. 178° viewing angles make watching in large gathering enjoyable.
Users can toggle between picture modes - standard, mild, dynamic and user. User Mode allows tweaking brightness, contrast, colour, sharpness and interestingly Video noise reduction.
Loud but Shallow Bass:
The sound on the Daiwa 40 inch Full HD LED TV is generous and can reach loud decibels without any noticeable cracking. Daiwa’s dual 10W stereo speakers produce ample treble and mids sufficient for movie dialogues and sports commentary. Bass is, however, lacking and will disappoint if you crave for a delighting experience while listening to music or movies with vivid soundtracks.
Users get preset modes such as standard, movie, music, sports besides the user mode in which people adroit with audio can play with a 5-band EQ.
