This MFP is targeted toward those organizations who have high A3/A4 color printing/copying requirement. These could be enterprises or govt. or entrepreneurs looking to setup their own copy shops
The C3330 can print, scan, copy, fax, scan to email or a network folder, USB thumb drive, or an FTP server, and print from a USB key. The MFD packs 7” WVGA pivoting color touch-screen interface that is very easy to use, thereby, allowing you to initiate jobs directly from the screen and features image preview, simple menus, and more. It offers password-protected printing and a number of other security features, and has a built-in 250GB encrypted hard drive. The series also comes equipped with ‘Mailbox Simple’, allowing document storage on the device. The printer weighs approximately 63kgs and measures 1,129 mm x 565 mm × 693 mm (HWD), which is much too large to share a desk with. Its scanner, equipped with a 100-sheet duplex automatic document feeder (DADF), scans both sides of the document simultaneously.
The iR-ADV C3300 series has an optional 3-in 1 Inner Finisher. On top of the normal stapling finish, users can leverage the Staple-on-Demand feature to staple their original documents together after scanning or printing, without needing to walk back to their desks. The environmental-friendly ECO-Staple option enables users to bind a maximum of five sheets of paper together staples-free. Employees can then easily shred documents without having to remove any staples, improving workflow efficiency.
Security is an integral part of the iR-ADV C3300 series. The C3330 MFD is equipped with a Reminder LED light on the automatic document feeder that flashes upon scan and copy jobs completion. This reduces instances when employees leave confidential documents behind and prevent information leaks.
The Hard Disk Data Erase feature automatically overwrites and erases data and any other impression stored on the device as soon as the job is complete. This reduces the risk of compromising sensitive information and is helpful in military organizations and other Research institutes which store critical information on the device.
The MFP has 1100-sheet standard paper capacity, split between two 550-sheet cassette trays and an additional 100-sheet multipurpose tray. The tray features a soft closing mechanism for greater durability and user experience. The multipurpose tray is intelligently designed and automatically detects the relevant paper sizing, saving time, paper resource and effort.
Performance
The A3 MFP review unit printed a total of 30 A4 B/W and color pages respectively in a minute with first page coming out in approximately 8 seconds and printed 14 A3 pages in a minute. Output quality for the C3330 was great and text quality was good enough for most business uses, even for desktop publishing applications requiring very small fonts.
Graphics quality was good enough for any internal business use, as well as PowerPoint handouts, and you may not even hesitate to give them to a potential client you are seeking to impress. The MFD is capable of producing wider color gamut and many of the backgrounds looked bright, vivid and colorful, though there was slightly notable graininess in few illustrations.
One interesting feature of the device is Area Designation Copy wherein you can frame, resize or choose your own area to be copied.
We tested the MFD with Remote Operation Software Kit and it easily replicated the control panel allowing me to take full control of device functions from the convenience of our desk without any optional accessory. This is particularly useful for network administrators and users with accessibility needs.
User can print on-the-go, whether it is from the desk, on the Smartphone or even tablet with the Canon Mobile Printing available on Android mobile devices.
