As you might expect from a Bose headphones, the Bose Soundlink wireless headphone II follow the similar design fashion like previous models with matte surfaces with Bose logo sculpted on each ear cup and has a relatively light weight design. These are a very comfortable fit with plush memory foam earcups. The top has leather and the arms heading down are reinforced with aluminum and looks subtle and refined.
The controls for volume up/down and pause and play are integrated into the right earcup and are easy to operate.
Each ear cup is labeled for easy channel identification. For travelers the headphones fold flat allowing for easy storage into a carry case.
The cable does not have inline microphone but the headphone does and works well as for making/receiving calls. When you power on the headphones, a female voice tells you exactly how much battery life you have left.
Performance
Pairing the SoundLink AE II is a breeze and the headphones will automatically get re-pair when the Bluetooth device is in range. On the other hand use NFC compatible device to pair your device even more quickly. The headphone automatically goes to sleep mode when not in use after 20 mins and can be wake up by any other button rather than Power On.
On tracks with intense sub- bass content like Titanium by David Guetta which features dance club style beats, the headphone performed well pushing appreciable but not overpowering bass. Sia’s vocals were clearly audible in between the bass of this electric pop song.
On tracks like Axel F by Harold Faltmeryer it sounded bright and rich in high tones, and the moments of silence and moments of full sound sounded truly mesmerizing.
Fully charge will take around 3 hours to deliver a back up of 15 hours. Quick charge gives you 2 hours of battery with only 15 minutes of charging. There is slight sound leaking at higher volume when listening to fuller volumes.
