What happened in most of the brainstorming meetings? Every participant tries to share their ideas, as well as struggle with the projector to present their idea effectively. But most of the time they fail, due to obvious reasons.
Barco is easing addressing those pinpoints with its ClickShare. Earlier we reviewed Barco ClickShare CSE-200 and now they have announced ClickShare CS-100 Huddle.
Setup and features
It looks similar to CS-200, a small box with loads of connectivity options and a power unit. While setting it up, it took around a couple of minutes. We connected the device to a screen using the HDMI cable and attached it to power.
Now it is ready to be used, just download the ClickShare Windows or Mac software on your PC. You can also connect your smartphone using the ClickShare App available for both Android and iOS.
The box unit turns a wireless access point and using the application you can connect to share your screen. It supports up to 8 users to connect simultaneously, and one person can share at a time.
Using the LAN cable, this can be connected to the company’s network and manage the device centrally. To ease, admins like, it comes with standard ClickShare security features including encryption, login management, https and the possibility to hide the SSID of the Base Unit’s wireless network.
It has an HDMI port at the back along with network (LAN) port and USB port.
Performance
As like previous, it's quite easy to set up and share screen but it doesn’t come with USB button. It operates completely wireless. No need to connect any wire to any device, just connect to screen and you are ready to go.
The application for Windows has a quite intuitive design, and easy to connect options. Similarly, the mobile app. You can simply connect to the ClickShare Huddle and share. Up to 8 people can connect to the device. But only one can share at a time.
Sharing the screen is like you are casting your mobile content to the screen. Using the LAN connectivity, you can also enable network-connected devices to share their screen. Just the delay can be seen depending on your network connectivity and speed.
Using the Huddle a guest use can also share his/her screen without any additional cable or setup. It just requires the application and you are ready to go.
