The new member in the family Kindle Voyage has get some upgrades to enhance your reading experience. If you compare the device with its previous sibling Kindle Paperwhite, the Voyage offers better and firm grip with one hand. It is so lightweight that you can use the device even with one hand and hold it for longer time even.
Kindle has improved its display this time and Voyage has a brighter 300PPI display which is sharper and clearer than Paperwhite. It comes with an ambient light sensor, which for the first time, automatically adjusts the brightness of display. The Nightlight feature of the reader lets you to read your favorite book in night as well. It gradually reduces the screen brightness over time as your eyes adjust to the dark.
Kindle Voyage also has PagePress, a dot and line at both left and right sides of display which let you turn the pages by simply tapping on them. Of course you can still turn pages by tapping on the left and right edges but PagePress is useful when you're holding the Kindle in one hand. When you tap on the PagePress the device provides feedback by gently vibrating. Kindle allows you to customize the level of feedback - low, medium, or high. You can also customize the amount of pressure required to trigger PagePress.
The Amazon Kindle Voyage has the similar Paperwhite software with some new features. Among all the notable features are Family Library that allows family members to share ebooks with each other, but unfortunately it is not available at the moment and will be rolled out via a software update.
It has the Wi-Fi connectivity so that you can browse your books from the Amazon store. Also it has built-in Internet browser that allows you to use the same device for net surfing, but on a black & white display. Amazon brings slim and form-fitting covers for the Kindle that provide full front and back protection. The cover automatically puts the Kindle into sleep mode when it is closed and wakes it upon opening.
The amazing part of the device is that, you can run it for weeks without recharging (depends on your reading habits). In our test, it lasted for about 12 hours over Wi-Fi.
