An entry level reader that offers week long backup and allows you to read thousands of e-books even when off-line
Amazon’s All-new Kindle has 6-inch Carta e-paper technology display that doesn’t have built-in back-light, which makes it extra comfortable to read your favorite book for a longer time without straining your eyes. The touchscreen display feels like reading a real paper. The device feels durable in an entire plastic body. Kindle features Goodreads integration, Vocabulary Builder, Word Wise (coming soon), etc. and allows you to store thousands of books. The entry level reader runs smoothly and the touch response of the device is also impressive. It turns pages easily without refreshing the complete screen, though it takes time while shifting chapters.
It offers amazing reading experience and combines Amazon’s store and its existing ecosystem. With Wi-Fi connectivity, users can choose their books easily from the Amazon store, and read them even when off-line. The Internet browser, allows you to use the same device for net surfing, but on a black & white display. Amazon brings slim and form-fitting covers for the Kindle that provide full front and back protection. The cover automatically puts the Kindle into sleep mode when it is closed and wakes it upon opening. Amazon’s custom cases improve its overall feeling as well as offer a fold-over front cover protector that mitigates the risk.
The amazing part of the device is that, you can run it for weeks without recharging (depends on your reading habits). The company claims that it can run for a month if you use it for half hour daily. In our test, it lasted for about 14 hours over Wi-Fi.
