Redmi India, on 4. March 2021, launched their latest premium-mid range smartphone, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. As the name suggests, the company has gone all out with the design and specification of the phone. The phone comes with a number of interesting and never seen before features in the segment that makes stand apart from all the other phones in the segment.

Camera:
Starting with the optics, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a first-in-class 108-megapixel primary camera supported by Isocell HM2 by Samsung. This lens is capable of producing sharp and vivid images with life-like colours. A new addition is the smart ISO technology that adjusts the ISO of the camera according to the lighting conditions and brightness. The night mode also sees an upgrade and the new night mode 2.0 can take better and sharper images in extremely low-light conditions. The new primary camera also delivers better HDR performance.
Apart from that, there is a 5-megapixel Super macro lens that has built-in telephoto capabilities. This can help the user get closer to the subject and performance 2x better than the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera is perfect for taking those landscaping shots. The 2-megapixel depth sensor also receives improvements and can now give a better bokeh effect in daylight as well as low-light conditions. The night mode 2.0 works with multiple frames in order to bring out the best image possible.
The camera UI brings in a number of new features for the users. One of the highlights is the Vlog mode. This mode on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is dedicated to creators and travellers. This feature can help them capture their journey and experience in a better and crisper manner. The long-exposure mode makes you unveil the true photographer in you.
The UI for the video mode also sees multiple changes. The pro video mode lets you adjust the zoom with an easy-to-use slider. The presence of a dual-video feature lets you capture your reaction while recording something else utilizing both the front and the rear camera.
The selfie shooter is not left behind either. The 16-megapixel shooter on the Note 10 Pro Max is built into the display in a small 2.9 mm punch hole making it one of the smallest front camera modules in the industry.
Display
Redmi seems to have gone all out with the display on the Note 10 Pro Max. The phone comes with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display producing crisper colours. Talking about colours, the 1200-nits brightness on the phone makes everything looks sharp and poppy. The Full HD+ display comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz making it the first of its kind in the segment.
Design on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max
Redmi has come up with a new and improved design for its latest line-up of smartphones. They have called it the EVOL design. EVOlL is LOVE spelt backwards and that is what they achieve at garnering with their new line-up of phones. The phone comes with a frosted glass back design which is smudge-proof and non-slippery. It is 8.1-mm thin and makes for a very handy phone even after the massive screen size. It comes with dual-speakers and hi-res audio making the music experience even more immersive than the previous generation.
Internals
On the inside, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor making it the most powerful note ever. It is based on the 8-nm process technology and comes with the Adreno 618 GPU. The CPU and GPU combo on the phone is capable of handling most tasks. To support this level of power, the battery on the phone is spiked up to be at 5,020 mAh. Redmi claims that the battery can last for 2 days on moderate use and more than 1 full day on heavy use. Even if you run out of juice, the 33W charger, in the box, can charge the phone up to 59% in 30 minutes and take it 100% in a little more than 70 minutes.
Redmi has also brought in a 2-in-1 dedicated slot for microSD and SIM cards, making it easier for the users. The phone comes with dual light sensors, Gorilla Glass 5 protection and dual graphite sheets on the back for thermals.
In the box, users can also find a screen protector and a case for added safety.
The phone is set to come in 3 colour variants: the Vintage Bronze, Glacial Blue and Dark Night.
