A major development has taken place since PUBG mobile was banned in India. Unlike the rumors we all have heard before this lead is concrete. In a recent job posting on LinkedIn, we found that PUBG Mobile is looking for a Corporate Development Divison Manager in India. This is major development ever since the game was banned by the Indian Government in the Chinese app ban. The ban not only affected PUBG Mobile but all of the games Tencent was the publisher for in India.
Ever since PUBG Mobile was banned in India many streamers and Professional players were affected. This was the most popular game in India not only for gamers but also for content creation and now this job posting has confirmed that PUBG is making a comeback. Also, this is not a job posting by Tencent games but by PUBG Corporation. For those who are not informed about all that took place after the game was banned in India, PUBG Corporation issued a statement that they will be ending their tie-up with Tencent games for India operations.
Players in India never received the New ERA update of PUBG Mobile and missed out on all new content that came with the update. This job posting has one more thing that caught our eye. It does not mention PUBG Mobile or even anything related to the mobile version of the game. Our assumption is that PUBG Corporation is not only bringing PUBG Mobile back but the PUBG ecosystem in a big way. We are talking about dedicated servers in India for PUBG PC, PUBG Lite PC, PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Lite, and everything in between.
Ever since the lockdown was imposed by the Indian government many people had to buy laptops which had an unintentional effect of creating more PC gamers and with the new Xbox Series X|S and Sony Playstation 5 coming in a few days it makes sense for PUBG Corporation to make its comeback in India in a big way.
