PUBG Mobile made a new announcement on its official twitter handle. The announcement is about a live event taking place on August 24th on the PUBG Mobile official Facebook and Youtube. The tweet announced that a new era is coming on PUBG Mobile on August 24th. Not a lot was revealed in the tweet but what is interesting is that PUBG Mobile twitter handle tweeted previously about how they will be banning hackers and cheaters for 10 years from the game. Another point to note here is that there are speculations that the new Erangle 2.0 map might be making its appearance in the game finally.

PUBG Mobile New Era Announcement August 24
The new era announcement by PUBG Mobile does come as a surprise for many since there have been no new updates by the devs of the game on any of the platforms. The only new announcement that has been made recently was for the new event called the King of Ancients. From the replies on the tweet, most of the players are expecting PUBG Mobile to make stricter rules for cheaters and ban them from the game. Though it remains to be seen what the new era announcement is about, many have already made assumptions that there is new in-game content is coming. PUBG Mobile publisher Tencent games have been suffering from a lot of bad press in countries where it has the most players. Countries like India and the United States have been monitoring the activity of Tencent games and in Pakistan, the game has already been banned due to pressure from parent groups.
The reason for many to speculate that there is new content coming to the game as the new Erangle 2.0 map mainly comes from the fact that games like Call of Duty Mobile have been giving fierce competition to the battle royal giant. PUBG: M has been in need of an overhaul for a very long time. Ever since the new game modes like Team Deathmatch have been added the UI of the lobby looks more cluttered. Maybe PUBG Mobile will go the Call of Duty Mobile route and bring weapon load-outs and gunsmithing to the game.
