Ever since remote working has taken off after the world got hit with the COVID-19 some applications have become part of the office life. Programs like Team Viewer, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams to name a few are present in almost every working professional's laptop. So it makes sense that we should make a compilation of programs that have made remote working possible.
Zoom:
Starting off with the program that supported remote working the most in the initial days. Zoom did not have a good start when it came out but it all did change after March 2020. Now we all use options like Teams and Meet but back in March it was all about Zoom. For the first time in our modern human history there was a need for a program that offered the option of video conferencing. Somehow the world actually forgot that Skype exists. It was all about Zoom and to the devs credit they did keep the app running and releasing it on every platform possible. The world might not be using Zoom the same way it was last year but let's just thank that it was there when the world needed it.
Google Workspace- Formerly (G Suite):
The one thing that did happen in the pandemic was a complete overhaul of productivity based solutions. Microsoft was revamping its entire line of Office products and so was Google. There was the usual Google's own suite of office programs, but it was in this era of remote working that they integrated them into a seamless product. Today Google Workspace integrates everything that can be integrated. From Chats to Meet to G-Suite everything has become more seamless than it every was before the pandemic.
Microsoft Office:
The name office has been synonymous with the workforce of the last decade or two. What was originally just some programs that helped in your office related work has been expanded to include everything from work related messages to an entire new ecosystem that would put any productivity suite to shame. Today Microsoft Office includes everything from video conferencing to messaging to Office apps on every platform imaginable. No matter what operating system you are on you can access all of Microsoft's Office programs either online or offline. Bear in mind that the only other Office suite that can even come close to what Microsoft is offering is Google and that is high praise.
