POCO X3 Pro Unveiled Price in India: Is This The New Pro in 20K Segment?

A few days back, POCO had hinted towards a new launch. The company claimed that the POCO F1 was a revolutionary phone. They were determined on bringing that excellence back to the consumers. The POCO X3 Pro might just be that phone. Let us take a look at the specifications and pricing and see if it is the new contender in the 20K segment.

Processor

POCO X3 Pro is the first phone to launch with a flagship processor in 20K segment. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 860 SOC. The 8-core chipset boasts 7 nm processing technology, delivering a 2.96GHz maximum frequency. The phone equipped with the powerful Adreno 640 GPU graphics processor, the device seamlessly runs all mainstream games, available in the market. POCO X3 Pro features LiquidCool Plus – a cooling solution packing an enlarged copper heat pipe and multiple layers of graphite that work together to reduce the device's thermal capacity. The phone also comes paired with top of the line hardware such as LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1, the fastest mobile storage tech in the industry that is 3X faster than UFS 3.0 and 14x faster than UFS 2.1 found on phones in this price segment.

Display

POCO X3 Pro features a Smart Display, with Reality Flow 120Hz refresh rate. It is an intelligent display that reads and understands the frame rate variability in an app’s content and automatically adjusts the desired refresh rate to 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz or 120Hz, saving battery and making the smartphone more power-efficient than ever. This allows the phone's refresh rate to go up for high-capacity situations like gaming and down for lighter operations like reading or watching a movie. POCO X3 Pro also features a dot-type bezel-less 16.9 cm (6.67) FullHD+ display with 2400x 1080p resolution, protected by flagship-level Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It also comes with a 240Hz touch sampling rate that provides smooth lag-free performance. The display delivers punchy vivid colours and provides stunning visuals and contrast, with HDR 10 support.

Cameras and Optics

POCO X3 Pro comes with a quad-camera setup. There is a 48MP primary sensor with F/1.79 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 118° FoV, a 2MP macro camera and a depth sensor for portraiture. The versatile camera setup with a 20MP front camera lets consumers capture the best selfies and pictures that capture the natural look, thereby packing true-to-life colour quality.

The device supports 4K video recording at 30/60fps and comes with several features including smooth video zoom, focus peaking and AE/AF lock along with Vlog mode, to capture high-res videos in great quality for content creation and social media stories. In addition, it will come with features such as Night mode 2.0, Long exposure, Clone Photo and Video mode, to allow creators to move and do more beyond basic smartphone photography.

POCO X3 Pro comes with a 5160mAh battery. It is one of the biggest batteries in its category. It comes with MMT tech, a split charge technology that allows better charge time in a shorter span of time and also protects the battery health cycle for the longer run. The device comes with an in-box fast 33W Type-C charger which might be surprising to a lot of brands and phones. It also supports USB PD charge at 26W, the fastest PD support in its segment.

POCO X3 Pro is paired with a dual-stereo speaker setup and is high-res audio and is aptX HD certified. POCO X3 is available in 3 colour variants namely Graphite Black, Steel Blue and Golden Bronze. The phone will go on sale starting April 6 2021.
