Panasonic Dvx200 flagship 4k professional camcorder designed for broadcast media now available in India

Panasonic recently launched its flagship 4K broadcast handheld camcorder in India, the AG-DVX200. A pioneer in customizing 4K technology for different consumer segments, Panasonic’s DVX200 is the world’s first 4K camcorder to be developed for the broadcast and professional AV field.

The high-achieving cinematographic camcorder captures real-life videos down till the finest detail. With widespread broadcast and cinematic applications, it is built to excel at independent film, documentary production, event videography, and reality TV. The device specifics are designed to deliver a shallow depth of field and a wide field of view, making the DVX200 the optimal choice for professional AV recording.

The DVX200 upgrades the suite of top-end features of traditional  Panasonic HD camcorders to 4K resolution, including 4K/60p recording and a 13x optical zoom. The new model is the paragon of large sensor cameras, with a 4K high-speed processing engine mounted on LSI, blended with the operational flexibility and manual controls of a traditional HD camcorder.

Also known as the AVCCAM 4K, the DVX200 boasts a massive 4/3” sensor, a breakthrough form factor among large-format handheld camcorders. Optimized for 4K as well as HD production, the device is SD card enabled to record both HD and 4K simultaneously. The swift variable frame rate, recording up to 120 frames a second, as well as the dual Optical Image Stabilizer and 5-Axis Hybrid Image Stabilizer, render it suitable for even sports and VFX production.

It also features an integrated lens which can be customized and controlled to optimize picture quality without the hassle of actual lens changes. With a F2.8 aperture and 12 stop dynamic range, it is the optimal choice for 4K video, producing elegant imagery and subtle “bokeh” effects at the level of filmic tones and colours, with natural, subtle rendering.

With a newly designed lens-integrated body and superb center-of-gravity balance, the ergonomic product provides excellent mobility and flexibility for a variety of handheld shooting scenarios. The DVX200 comes with a rugged woven carbon, fiber-like finish, with a distinctively styled crimson shading, completed by a flip-out LCD touch panel and coloured OLED viewfinder.
