Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus: Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 Used to Launch the Smartphone

The Oppo Reno 9 series was today formally unveiled in China. Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus, Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro are the three models in the lineup. The main changes between Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro are in the processor and camera hardware. The top-of-the-line Reno 9 Pro Plus has the best specifications, featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Plus 1 Gen 1 CPU and 80W fast charging. All three of the phones launch the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 operating system.

Costs of the Oppo Reno 9 series

The Reno 9 Pro Plus price in China ranges from CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 45,700) for the 16GB RAM/256GB storage edition to CNY 4,399 (about Rs 50,300) for the 16GB RAM/512GB storage version.

The Reno 9 Pro is available in versions with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage starting at CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs 40,000) and going up to CNY 3,799 (about Rs 43,500) for a model with  512GB storage and 16GB RAM.

Three memory options are available for Reno 9: 8GB/256GB for CNY 2,499 (about Rs 28,600), 12GB/256GB for CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs 30,900), and 12GB/512GB for CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 34,300).

Features and Specifications of the Oppo Reno 9 series

• Each of the three phones has a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 950 nits (in HDR), and a hole punch cutout that houses a 32 MP front camera.
• The pro plus model's curved panel is the only difference between it and the pro and standard Reno 9 models' flat displays.
• Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 from Qualcomm powers the Reno 9 Pro Plus. The Reno 9 Pro uses MediaTek Dimensity 8100, Max, whereas the Reno 9 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G.
• While Reno 9 Pro Plus offers quicker 80W charging capabilities, Reno 9 Pro and Reno 9 provide 67W
• The Reno 9 Pro Plus includes three cameras on the back: a 50 MP primary camera (6P lens with OIS), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a second 2MP depth sensor.
• A 50MP primary (7P lens) and an additional 8MP ultrawide are the Reno 9 Pro features. Reno 9 sports a second 2MP B&W sensor and its 64 MP primary camera.
