Oppo F11 Pro with pop-up camera to launch on March 5

The Oppo F11 Pro will be the first smartphone from the Chinese phone maker that will come with a motorised selfie camera in India.

China’s Oppo has announced to launch its next smartphone in the F series -- F11 Pro in Mumbai on March 5. According to the teaser video revealed by the company, the Oppo F11 Pro will come with a 48MP camera at the back along with Super Night mode that will utilise artificial intelligence to improve low-light image processing.

The F11 Pro is expected to sport a full-screen display with a motorised selfie camera, as seen in the Vivo Nex and Vivo V15 Pro. At the back, there will be a 48MP primary camera. The device will be powered by a high-end MediaTek processor paired up with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Super Night Mode in the Oppo F11 Pro will work in tandem with the company’s exclusive AI ultra-clear engine that intelligently recognises scenes and optimises the settings for the best possible results.

Further, the smartphone will have VOOC 3.0 fast charging, a notched display with minimum bezels and a 3D gradient casing.

Earlier, this week, Oppo launched K1 that comes with in-display fingerprint sensor at Rs 16,990. The smartphone sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED display along with a water-drop notch. It is armed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with an Adreno 512 GPU.

The Oppo K1 sports a dual camera setup on the back comprising of a 16MP main camera along with a 2MP secondary sensor. There is a 25MP camera at the front. The K1 comes in 4GB/6GB RAM variant along with 64GB of internal storage.

According to market research firm Counterpoint Research, Oppo acquired eight per cent share in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Overall, Chinese brands including Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo registered their strongest ever annual performance in India, capturing a record 60 per cent smartphone market share up from 54 per cent during 2017.
