Following Google’s release of Android 11 today, OPPO unveiled it’s Android 11-based ColorOS 11 public beta version – making it one of the first OEMs to run on stable Android 11. As a key partner to google, ColorOS has today announced the availability of the Android 11 update on the newly launched OPPO Find X2 series, making it amongst the first smartphones in the world to have the update. Developers and early adopters can now download the beta update on their OPPO Find X2 devices starting today. OPPO also announced a virtual global launch event for ColorOS11 is set for September 14. During the event, ColorOS will showcase its full reveal of features that complement the stock Android experience and release an updated public beta version and rollout plan for OPPO users.

Oppo ColorOS 11 Android 11 Update Rollout:
On the Google Blog post for Andriod 11, it was clearly stated that Oppo along with other android device manufacturers like Xiaomi will be giving the Android 11 update in the month of September on many of their flagship devices. Oppo will be rolling out the Andriod 11 update with the new ColorOS 11. The launch event for ColorOS 11 is scheduled for September 14th on Oppo official channels. The first device of the OPPO Find X2 series will be among the first devices in the world along with the Google Pixel smartphones.
Along with the OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro even the Oppo Reno devices will be getting updates. Android 11 is bringing a ton of new features with itself like Bubbles and much more. It remains to be seen how Oppo will be implementing these new features in the ColorOS 11. Android 11 has also implemented for the first time built-in screen recording. Another new feature on Android 11 is Security updates, right from Google Play itself.
Custom OEM UI on top of Android has become the norm in recent times. Almost all manufacturers have been using their own custom UI on top of Android for a long time. Xiaomi has just released its latest MiUi 12 update for almost all of its latest smartphones.
