Thanks to recent certification listings, rumors about a watch that would replace the OnePlus Watch have been gathering steam. Alleged 5K renderings of the OnePlus Watch 2 have shown its design ahead of its planned release. Crucial details about the device have also been revealed.
OnePlus Watch 2 design leaked
5K images from MySmartPrice seem to have revealed the full design of the smartwatch, which has an unusual Apple Watch Ultra-like female band on one side. Follow along:
OnePlus Watch 2 Specifications (Expected)
The smartwatch has a speaker grill on one side and two buttons on the other. In addition, the report also included the key specifications of the upcoming smartwatch. The hardware you can expect includes a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset.
The report mentions that it might retain a custom RTOS platform, but it would be unusual for OnePlus to launch a device with the latest chipset. Therefore, there is still hope that the OnePlus Watch 2 could come with Google's Wear OS.
As for the market, the OnePlus Watch 2 is expected to launch in 2024, hopefully together with the OnePlus 12. Be that as it may, we might see the OnePlus 12 as early as next month. OnePlus' next flagship smartphone is expected to launch in China in December.
The device is expected to feature a periscope zoom camera and a much brighter display than its predecessor. It could come to global markets like India in early 2024 if the brand follows its usual launch schedule.
OnePlus Watch
The OnePlus Watch, available in Moonlight Silver and Midnight Black color variants, was introduced in India in April 2021 for a price of Rs. 16,999. A 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass on top is one of its characteristics. The 46mm stainless steel OnePlus Watch casing is one of its features. The smartwatch has a 5ATM water-resistant certification and an IP68 rating for protection from dust and splashes. It has a 405 mAh battery that supports quick charging using Warp Charge.
