In case you are travelling to MWC, you could have the hands-on 5G speed experience on the prototype smartphone as the company has set-up a fully functional 5G network in place in its MWC 2019 booth.

‘OnePlus, at Qualcomm’s booth (Hall 3 Stand 3E10), invites all to connect and communicate with our community over a 5G network. Attendees will also be able to experience the capabilities of 5G gaming on a OnePlus 5G prototype. Keep an eye out for the limited-edition Qualcomm x OnePlus pin badge, only available at the OnePlus stand,’ the company said in a statement.

From the above statement, it is evident that the prototype from OnePlus will be gaming centric just like Nubia’s Red Magic Wars and ASUS ROG Gaming phone.

The smartphone is expected to come with Qualcomm processors. In June of 2018, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau announced that the company is working with US carriers to incorporate 5G in its next flagship.

Owing to its good relationship with Qualcomm, OnePlus is among the first batch of companies to launch a 5G phone.

According to market research company techARC, OnePlus is also one of the few brands that shipped all their devices with the latest version of Android OS in 2018.
