Nvidia has been extremely popular for the gaming technologies and innovations that it brings to the market through the medium of its GPUs. With Computex being back and Nvidia headlining the show, the company has come out with a number of announcements for gamers as well as creators.
These announcements include the launch of new Titan series GPUs, new additions to the list of RTX compatible games and the expansion of Nvidia Flex to a lot more shooter games than before. Nvidia aims at regaining the dominance that it once had in the market.
The New 3080 Ti and other GPUs
Nvidia has announced the launch of its RTX 3070Ti and 3080Ti GPUs. The GeForce RTX 3080Ti is powered by the Nvidia Ampere architecture. It has improved Ray Tracing, Nvidia DLSS performance-boosting AI along with Nvidia Reflex Latency reduction and Nvidia Broadcast streaming features. It is the new flagship gaming GPU of the RTX line-up. It will be available on June 3rd starting at $1199.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti turbocharges the GeForce RTX 3070, our most popular NVIDIA Ampere architecture graphics card. This new Ti GPU boosts performance with more CUDA Cores and our super speed GDDR6X memory. Altogether, they enable the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to deliver a 1.5X performance improvement versus the previous-gen GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, and a 2X improvement over the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. It will be available June 10th starting at $599.
These new GPUs deliver great performance for the world’s 45 million-plus creative professionals, too. Backed by the NVIDIA Studio platform and powered with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory for creative applications, RTX is accelerating the No. 1 photography application (Adobe Photoshop), the No. 1 video editing application (Adobe Premiere Pro), the No. 1 Broadcast application (OBS) and every major 3D renderer. There are now over 70 content creation applications that support RTX-accelerated ray tracing, DLSS or AI features.
Expansion of the List of RTX Titles
NVIDIA’s RTX and gaming technologies have a tremendous amount of momentum, with more than 130 games and applications supporting NVIDIA RTX acceleration technologies, including RT Core-accelerated ray tracing, Tensor Core-accelerated NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and more AI features. NVIDIA Reflex latency-reducing technology is also now supported in 12 of the top 15 competitive shooter-based games.
More are coming. Games showcased during NVIDIA’s COMPUTEX keynote address or at the event that will be adding both ray tracing and DLSS include The Ascent, DOOM Eternal, DYING : 1983, Icarus, LEGO Builder’s Journey and The Persistence. New games that are accelerating performance using DLSS include, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rainbow Six Siege.
Nvidia Reflex Extends to More Shooter Games
The NVIDIA Reflex Ecosystem continues to expand with the addition of four new games: Escape from Tarkov, CrossFire HD, Naraka: Bladepoint and War Thunder and. Soon, 12 of the top 15 shooters will feature NVIDIA Reflex. EVGA, Lenovo and Viewsonic have also joined the list of partners upgrading new and existing mice and G-SYNC monitors with Reflex Latency Analyzer support.
GTX 30 Series Laptops for Gamers and Creators
At Computex, Nvidia also announced the latest GeForce RTX 30-series based laptops. Alienware and Acer were among the brands to unveil innovative and new gaming laptops in the market. Alienware's x15 is an ultra-thin GeForce RTX 3080 laptop with a 2560x1440 G-SYNC display, it is the world’s most powerful sub-16mm, 15-inch laptop. Acer's new 16" Predator Triton 500 SE, features a GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU and is loaded with third generation Max-Q technologies for peak operation and performance.
There is something for creators too. The 14-inch HP Envy brings RTX capabilities to an ultra-portable laptop. Available with a 15-inch display, the Envy 15 can be equipped with up to GeForce RTX 3060 laptop graphics. The new Acer ConceptD series offers a variety of traditional clamshell options, and an Ezel sketch board design, to give creators even more flexibility. The ConceptD line ranges from the ConceptD 3 with either a GeForce RTX 3050 or 3050 Ti Laptop GPU, all the way up to the ConceptD 7 and 7 Pro with GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU and NVIDIA RTX A5000 laptop GPU configurations. And MSI’s Creator Z16, Creator 17, WS66 and WS76 are joining the Studio program, featuring the Creator Z16, an elegant and premium laptop powered by a GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU.
