Several details about the impending device have lately emerged online. The manufacturer of Nubia Z60 Ultra has now announced the release date of the Nubia Z60 Ultra. Furthermore, new leaks have revealed critical characteristics of the impending handset.
Nubia Z60 Ultra will be released in China on 19 December.
Nubia stated in a Weibo post that the Nubia Z60 Ultra will be released in China on 19 December at 2pm (11:30am IST). Apart from the fact that it will support its fifth-generation under-display camera technology, the company did not divulge any further specifics about the handset. Notably, its predecessor, the Nubia Z50 Ultra, also debuted with an under-display front camera.
Nubia Z60 Ultra: Expected Specifications
In a Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the Nubia Z60 Ultra will have two 50-megapixel and one 64-megapixel rear camera. The cameras should enable optical image stabilisation (OIS). He also mentioned that the Nubia Z60 Ultra phone will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 6,000mAh battery. The Nubia Z60 Ultra phone is also expected to have an IP68 dust and splash resistance rating.
According to Gizmochina, the Nubia Z60 Ultra would include a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display with a projected refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is believed to have up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage, Android 14-based MyOS, and 80W wired fast charging support. The 64-megapixel camera unit will undoubtedly include an OV64B periscope telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom.
The Nubia Z50 Ultra is priced at CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 47,200) for the 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage combo. It is available in black and grey and a limited edition, Starry Night Collector's Edition. The Nubia Z50 Ultra phone has a 6.8-inch 120Hz OLED "all screen" display with full HD+ (1,116 x 2,480 pixels). Nubia Z50 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 inbuilt storage, and runs Android 13-based MyOS 13.
The front camera of the Nubia Z50 Ultra is an under-display 16-megapixel OV16E1Q sensor. A 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 primary sensor with OIS capability, a 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera, and another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens form the triple rear camera unit. It has a 5,000mAh battery and supports USB Type-C fast charging at 80W.
