Skype, a telecommunications app that specialises in providing video chat and voice calls between computers, tablets, mobiles and has always been an easiest way to share your screen with others. Starting today, users can now share screen on Android and iOS.
While, the screen sharing features will come handy for work-related purposes, like sharing a PowerPoint presentation or a workbook, but the feature could also be used for fun like swiping through a dating app such as Tinder, while a friend gives their feedback, or for online shopping alongside a friend. Additionally, it could also be used to give provide remote tech help in situations where your mom or dad or one of your loved one can’t locate a setting on the phone.
Simply start a Skype call, tap the brand new “…” menu, and start sharing your screen. A single tap will dismiss the call controls to let fully experience the most essential Skype feature, a video call without any hindrance. A double tap will remove all. And a single tap brings all the controls back, with everything you need the most at the front and centre.
Skype has added everything else into the newly redesigned “…” menu. This new menu allows you to access all our useful features, like screen sharing, call recording, and subtitles—all while keeping your video call simple and clutter free.
‘We’re proud to release these updates to our mobile calling experience, enabling everyone to get more done, from anywhere. Screen sharing on mobile is available on the latest version of Skype on Android and iOS devices running iOS 12 and up,’ the company said in a statement.
