Coronavirus is the latest epidemic that has garnered the world’s attention. The deadly Virus has claimed over 80lives and the origin has been traced back to Wuhan in China. Due to the fear of the outbreak, the Chinese League of Legends Pro Series announced that they have suspended their matches.
The announcement was made on the morning of 26th Jan. The Chinese League of Legends Pro Series Twitter handle did not specifically name the Coronavirus in the tweet, but did say that they did so to “ensure the safety of the players and fans”. No more information regarding the length of the delay was given by the handle. They did say though, that further details would be announced.
We have decided to postpone week 2 of the LPL until we can ensure the safety and health of our players and fans.

After outbreak, the Chinese Government has restricted travel as the world tries to find a cure for this deadly virus. Chinese government has also restricted large gatherings as the virus has proven to be highly contagious among humans. China’s General Administration of Sports has also directed all sporting events to be suspended until March.
