Lava Blaze 2 5G, the latest cheap 5G offering from Indian smartphone maker Lava International, was released in India on Thursday (2 November). The Lava Blaze 2 5G is the successor to the Blaze 5G from last year. It comes in three different colours and has a glass back. It features a 6.56-inch 2.5D curved display with a refresh rate 90Hz and a dual back camera unit led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The Lava Blaze 2 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage onboard. It has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W rapid charging.
Price and availability of the Lava Blaze 2 5G in India
The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage edition of the Lava Blaze 2 5G costs Rs. 9,999 in India. Lava Blaze 2 5G will be available in Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Lavender colour variants and will be available for purchase on the Lava e-store and Amazon India beginning 9 November.
In April, the 4G variant of the Lava Blaze 2 was released in India for Rs. 8,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option. It is available in the colours Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Orange. The Lava Blaze 5G was released last November at Rs. 9,999 for the single 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Lava Blaze 2 5G runs Android 13, with an upgrade to Android 14 and two years of quarterly security updates confirmed. It has a 6.56-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixel) display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The selfie shooter is housed in a hole punch cutout in the 2.5D curved screen. The new Lava phone has an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC and up to 6GB of RAM. The available memory can be enlarged up to 12GB using unused storage via the virtual RAM capability.
The Lava Blaze 2 5G has a dual back camera unit with LED flash for optics. A 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.08-megapixel secondary camera from the rear camera system. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a screen flash for selfies and video chats. The Lava Blaze 2 5G phone has 128GB of internal storage, which can be upgraded to 1 TB.
The Lava Blaze 2 5G supports 5G, 4G, Bluetooth, FM radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C connector for connectivity. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors aboard. The Lava Blaze 2 5G handset contains a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and enables a face unlock function for authentication. The Lava Blaze 2 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging capabilities. Furthermore, it measures 164.2x76x8.45mm and weighs 203 grams.
