A new service from Reliance Jio is about to go live and will provide wireless internet access at home and at the office. Jio AirFiber, the service, was unveiled at the company's 45th Annual General Meeting last year, but its availability and cost have remained a secret. It might, however, enter the market in the upcoming months. RIL President Kiran Thomas, quoted in the article, stated his trust in the wireless internet service. The "company's connected homes strategy" will be "accelerated," he claimed.
During the 2022 AGM, Mukesh Ambani disclosed that Jio AirFiber would allow users to access wireless internet at speeds comparable to fiber optics, take advantage of a variety of low-latency and high-bandwidth applications, parental control, support for Wi-Fi 6, and more.
Jio AirFiber launch date
Jio claims that the cellular 5G network will experience the same speed. The upcoming introduction of Jio AirFiber in India could revolutionise the broadband industry because it provides a practical and economical means of connecting to 5G internet at home. In India, the official launch of Jio AirFiber is anticipated soon.
Know about Jio AirFiber
A brand-new service called Jio AirFiber uses 5G technology to guarantee fiber-like speed over the air. The device, which resembles a white router with an antenna, can be plugged in and turned on to provide users with up to 1Gbps internet speed at home or at work.
The Jio AirFiber service also provides a number of features and advantages, including:
- Wi-Fi 6 compatibility and parental controls.
- Seamless TV viewing integration with Jio set-top box.
- Using an app, installation and management are simple.
- The ability to prevent access to particular websites or network devices.
Jio AirFiber bandwidth
Late last year, Jio showed out the gadget in an advertisement, which displays 5G speeds of up to 1.5Gbps. Jio AirFiber employs True 5G, according to the telco, to provide quick, dependable, and wide-ranging Wi-Fi connectivity. The solution, according to the provider, can cover up to 1000 square feet of space on the same floor of a home or business.
Regarding installation, the official Jio website says that setting up Jio AirFiber merely requires plugging the device in and turning it on. When turned on, the AirFiber creates a personal Wi-Fi hotspot inside the house that enables customers to connect their devices to True 5G for ultra-fast internet.
According to reports, the new Wi-Fi service will present fierce competition to other internet providers like Airtel, BSNL, and ACT. Jio's true-5G technology, which is based on SA (standalone) technology, provides the foundation for Jio AirFiber. This indicates that, in contrast to Bharti Airtel's NSA (non-standalone) technology, it is independent of existing 4G infrastructure. According to Jio, this provides it a speed and dependability advantage over its rivals.
