The Vivo Y100i Power 5G, the company's newest addition to the Y100 series, has been released in China. Vivo's latest 5G smartphone comes in three colour variants and competes with the Vivo Y100 and Vivo Y100i in the Chinese market. The Vivo Y100i Power 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with 12GB of RAM. It has a 6,000mAh battery and supports 44W rapid charging. The Vivo Y100i Power 5G has a 50-megapixel primary camera.

Price of the Vivo Y100i Power 5G

The Vivo Y100i Power 5G costs CNY 2,099 (about Rs. 20,000) for the single 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model. It is presently available in China in the colour options Distant Mountains Green, Moon Shadow Black, and Snowy White (translated from Chinese) from Vivo's online store.

There are no details on the Vivo Y100i Power 5G's India debut. The Vivo Y100i was released last month at CNY 1,599 (about Rs. 15,000) for the single 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. In February, the Vivo Y100 was released in India at Rs. 24,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB storage model.

Vivo Y100i Power 5G technical characteristics

The dual SIM (Nano) Vivo Y100i Power 5G comes preloaded with OriginOS 3, based on Android 13. It has a 6.64-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,388 pixel) screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a screen-to-body ratio 91.6. The screen has SGS low blue light certification and is certified to cover the entire DCI-P3 colour gamut. The selfie shooter is housed in a hole punch cutout in the centre of the LCD panel.

The octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC in the Vivo Y100i Power 5G is paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and an Adreno 710 GPU. The inherent memory can be enlarged up to 24GB with the extended RAM capability using unused storage. The Vivo Y100i Power 5G device includes up to 512GB of UFS2.2 storage. Vivo has included a 639mm square liquid cooling heat pipe and an 8736mm graphite sheet in the gadget for thermal management.

The Vivo Y100i Power 5G boasts a dual rear camera unit that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and 10x digital zoom capabilities, as well as a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats.

The Vivo Y100i Power 5G supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and OTG Wi-Fi. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, and proximity sensor are among the sensors aboard. Vivo Y100i Power 5G has a fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The Vivo Y100i Power 5G has a 6,000mAh battery with 44W rapid charging capabilities. This is a significant improvement over its nearest siblings, the Vivo Y100 and Vivo Y100i. The former is powered by a 4,500mAh battery, while the latter is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It has dimensions of 164.63x75.80x9.10mm and weighs 199 grams.
