Apple brought the iPhone SE back to life in 2020, and they did the same with the iPhone SE 3 the previous year. There was no new SE model launched this year, and unreliable rumors regarding its debut persist. Though we are not sure about the rumors that are surfacing frequently, a new report suggests that it will resemble the iPhone 14 in terms of style.
iPhone SE 4 to feature iPhone 14 design
If the rumors are to be believed, the iPhone SE 4 could turn out to be exactly what everyone has been waiting for. According to a report from MacRumors, the main update planned for the iPhone SE 4 is a similar design to the iPhone 14. This means an updated look and a larger screen size. So we'll probably see an iPhone SE 4 with flat edges, and it's said to be very close to the base iPhone 14 in terms of size.
However, there is one difference, and that is the presence of the Touch ID button on the iPhone SE 4. It looks like Apple will keep it and not move to an all-screen design for the next-generation iPhone SE.
However, we might see two more updates to the iPhone SE 4, a USB-C port and a function button; both debut on iPhone 15 Pro models. The function button can be customized for different tasks, and we hope to see it on all new iPhones in the future.
The iPhone SE 4 is also said to be around six grams lighter than the iPhone 14. For context, the iPhone SE 4 weighs 172g, but the SE model weighs 165g. The weight change is said to be due to the iPhone SE 4's single rear camera rather than the iPhone 14's dual camera setup.
iPhone SE 4: Expected Features
The iPhone SE 4's back camera could have a 48-megapixel sensor. It could just be the 48MP camera that's on the iPhone 14 Pro series.
In addition to a similar design, the iPhone SE 4 should also come in black, reminiscent of the iPhone 14 Midnight variant. We will likely see more color options for the iPhone SE 4.
