The iPhone 13 has just been announced and is supposed to go on sale very soon. However, this is not the sole reason for excitement for all Apple enthusiasts. The iPhone 14 leaks and renders have already started doing the rounds of the internet. Hence, the question arises, should you trust the leaks and wait for iPhone 14 or you should buy the latest iPhone 13. Let's take a look at the leaks. Will it be the next best smartphone in the market?
Design and Display
The initial leaks indicate that the iPhone 14 might come with a complete design change. The camera module on the phone will be flushed into the back, removing the camera bump that can be seen on the current iPhones. The design of the iPhone 14 might be very similar to that of the iPhone 4. Talking of similarities with the iPhone 4, the volume buttons on the iPhone 14 might be round, as seen on the iPhone 4. The speaker grills will also be similar to the iPhone 4. Users might still not be able to see and experience the USB-C port on the phone, the lightning port stays for the time being.

The glass-sandwich design might now be supported by a titanium frame, making it sturdier than the previous generations. The Apple logo might also be flushed into the back glass, giving it a cleaner look. One of the things to look forward to is the notch. The leaks show that Apple might finally ditch the notch and go with a punch-hole camera, giving a full-screen experience for the users.
Camera and Battery
Apple is known for its camera performance and with the launch of the iPhone 13, the company has taken it a notch up. According to the leaks, the iPhone 14 is supposed to come with a periscope camera and a bigger battery that can sustain all the performance that the phone is supposed to pack. A bigger body would mean a bigger battery, and that might be a game-changer for the company. Apple might also bring the periscope camera for iPhone 14 which should enhance the performance even further.
Security
Apple, for years, has stuck to the notch design, saying that it is essential for the mechanism of the Face ID. However, the iPhone 14 leaks and renders show that the phone will not have a notch. So what happens to the security of the phone? Will Apple bring back the Touch ID? The answer to the latter is no. Apple is not bringing back Touch ID. They have managed to move the Face ID mechanism behind the display, keeping only the camera on the screen. The phone will still be unlocked with the Face ID, the chances of Touch ID making a comeback look slim.

The Models
Some iPhone 14 leaks also suggest that there would not be any Mini models in the coming year. It is possible that Apple will bring 4 models, but without the Mini. The anticipated line-up might be iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. It is still a long shot, and determining the line-up as of now is still not possible.
Should You Wait for iPhone 14?
The leaks and renders of the iPhone 14 look promising. If Apple decides and manages to go ahead with it, this might be a groundbreaking change in the line-up. If you are willing to take the risk of waiting for the upcoming iPhone in 2022, then you should. However, if the iPhone 13 is everything that you are looking for, going with it might be a wise option. Over the years, consumers have seen several leaks that did not turn out to be true. That might be the case this time around, too.
