iOS has been one of the smoothest mobile user experience out there. Some features of the upcoming iOS update, iOS 15 have been leaked. The official beta launch of the update is around the corner and there have been a lot of rumours about the features that might be added to the update.
Apple has already mentioned a few features that are coming to the iPhone. A new control centre could be featured in the iOS 15 update. This will be a very macOS design control centre. There are some rumours and interactions that hint towards Apple making widgets more interactive along with a redesigned settings application. All this information was confirmed by other resources across Twitter but there is more.
Food Tracking
Apple is rumoured to be adding food tracking to the health application for users to track all the nutrients and even the water intake. Apple is all for and about health, so that might be coming to the health app as an update.
A new Dark Mode
iPhones already come with the option of a Dark mode where the theme of the whole phone changes to deeper and darker colours. Apple is rumoured to bring in a darker mode in their upcoming update. This can mean that users might finally able to see a dark mode theme on the iPhone. These modes could be seen from the jailbreak days, but if Apple adds this feature, it will make the overall aesthetic look better. The dark mode changes the settings and all other elements in the phone but the darker might bring darker notification badges and darker icon pack.
Lock Screen
One of the most anticipated design changes in the iOS 15 is the lock screen. There can be icons on the lock screen with notifications. This looks very clean and professional. The lock screen for iOS desperately needs a redesign as it does not have any weather information, no additional notification system. A redesign to the interface can actually be a breath of fresh air for the users.
These are all rumours and some leaked features. The confirmation regarding the features of iOS 15 will be seen at WWDC. Google is also ready with the Android 12, it will be fun to see which way the age-old debate between Android vs iOS goes.
